A focus on public service, governance, and development

About

A Journey Rooted In Public Service

Diya Kumari entered active politics with a focus on public service, governance, and development. Over the years, she has served as MLA from Sawai Madhopur, Member of Parliament from Rajsamand, and currently represents Vidhyadhar Nagar in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. She has held responsibilities across both state and national politics, building a reputation for focused administration and constituency-led work.

Leadership

Her political approach is centered on accountability, practical governance, fiscal discipline, women-led development, and preserving Rajasthan’s identity while building for the future.
As Deputy Chief Minister, Diya Kumari holds one of the most consequential portfolios in the Rajasthan Cabinet.

Her approach to governance is defined by accountability, fiscal discipline, and the belief that policy must be felt on the ground, not just announced from the podium.

Finance

As Finance Minister, she has steered the state’s economic direction with discipline and clarity. In February 2026, she presented the Rajasthan Budget 2026–27 in the State Legislature, only the second time in the state’s history that a Deputy Chief Minister has held this portfolio.

Tourism

Rajasthan is one of India’s most visited destinations, and her focus has been on strengthening tourism infrastructure, promoting heritage circuits, and firmly establishing Rajasthan as a world-class cultural draw.

Public Works Departments

Roads, bridges, and public infrastructure form the backbone of real development. Her oversight of PWD reflects a belief that progress must be visible and tangible, reaching every district, every town, every village.

Women & Child Development and Child Empowerment

Perhaps closest to her personal convictions, this portfolio drives her agenda for women’s welfare, nutritional security, and building a stronger foundation for Rajasthan’s next generation.

Art, Literature, Culture & Archaeology

With Rajasthan’s extraordinary living heritage as both context and responsibility, she has worked to protect, document, and promote the state’s cultural traditions while ensuring they are carried forward with pride.

In the service of Rajasthan…
Not above it, Not apart from it. Always of it.
